Tracking built to withstand the high temperatures of sterilization.

This solution use case, provided by Tech Mahindra on the MindSphere® platform, provides surgical kit tracking for medical device manufacturers, health networks, hospitals, and surgical centers.

Asset tracking tags are designed to withstand steam sterilization up to 140 degrees Celcius and last 12-18 months. These tags include GPS and are compatible with cellular and wifi options.

Tracking extends from sales rep inventory and shipping process all the way through hospital utilization to ensure kits are delivered in a timely fashion and deployed at the desired location.

With better visibility to assets deployed in facilities, surgical device suppliers and hospitals can improve their utilization of existing assets and drive down the high costs of acquiring new kits due to poor inventory management.
